The ramé-hart Model 590 represents our most automated tool yet. This system includes our software-driven Automated Tilting Base assembly for measuring advancing, receding, and roll-off angles as well as contact angle hysteresis. The Automated Dispensing System, also controlled via DROPimage, is included for performing dynamic studies or adding precision and automation to the formation of pendant and sessile drops. Model 590 ships with DROPimage Advanced providing the capacity to design powerful experiments which may include drop volume and tilt control. DROPimage Advanced is also useful for measuring static and dynamic contact angle, surface energy, surface and interfacial tension.

Model 590 features our long optical bench with the fully modular advanced 3-axis stage with fine and coarse vertical adjustment. As a result, Model 590 accepts every available modular accessory including our Environment Chamber with temperature control up to 300 C, Advanced Chamber with Temperature and Humidity control, and more.

Add the optional Oscillator to measure surface dilatational elasticity or the Environmental Fixture to measure interfacial tension. Other options included the film clamps, wafer support, and custom fixtures and specimen support options.

The fiber optic illuminator provides adjustable backlighting and each system ships with a PC and LCD to make it a complete turn-key ready-to-use instrument.

With DROPimage Advanced software, results can be logged and reports can be generated using myriad options. Images and videos can be captured and saved; high speed measurements can be taken real time up to 60 frames per second.
